I'm a little unhappy with the OGRE android app. It's reasonable, and free is great. However, there's some stuff I'd rather see happen, and I think there's room for more than one scoring thing.
Turns out, I need a side-project, and I'd like to build a web-based ogre companion app to handle stuff like tracking ogre state, persisting that to a database (so you can return to a game), and letting multiple users all see the same ogres get damaged and so on.
This would be a 100% noncommercial, and I'd make sure the OGRE trademark is respected and all that. But I do want to know that this is the kind of thing that wouldn't get an immediate C&D if I put something online.
Is this something that is a Bad Idea, legally? Given the existence of some other third-party software designed to companion-ize with other SJG products, it seems like it's at least feasible.

A non-commercial OGRE tracker webapp - is this okay?
