I'm looking for a way to build visuals for games -- people remember faces so much better than names, and people become so much more real when they are a face rather than a bunch of numbers. I don't want to go searching the internet for a photograph each time, I know that's an option. I'd also like the ability to look at the character from more than 1 direction. Full body shots would also be nice.
I know this software exists. Version of it exist for many video games, where you can build your character's face. Some of these games are fairly old. But I haven't found a version that gives me decent clothing options, handles either exporting images or being minimized a lot, does 3D, and has a random generator. Also, a bargain is always a good thing.
If worst comes to worst I can buckle down and figure out how to actually run 'make person' (an open source program), or hope that the sims doesn't crash when I hit print screen and swap it in and out of focus repeatedly (sims tends to be a fragile game).
