Hi everybody, I am brand new to the forums here.
I just bought the Basic Set rulebooks for Gurps and I am enjoying reading them.
I have a question that may or may not be stupid. I have not found an answer yet on the FAQ or in the book so here goes...
When you are making characters what advice could you give as to players buying Advantages that have a /level purchase possible? I can't see any information regarding sensible upper limits for different campaigns etc..
For example..Acute sense is 2/level. Even a 50 point nobody could throw a load of points at say Acute Hearing and end up with a superhuman ability. How do you know what sort of caps to put on these Advantages for different styles of campaigns and games?
Have I missed something obvious? Thanks in advance, any help appreciated.
