What about half damage to OGREs?

It occurred to me that when you strike at an OGRE component, it's pretty much an all or none affair.

What about the DIS right before the X on the CRT chart be a "half damage" to that component? This would make other units that are pretty much useless at least somewhat useful in a conflict with an OGRE facing them.

It would work like this:

A 2/1 militia squad is facing down a Mark 3 OGRE (named "Gracie") and they roll a 3 on d6. They are not panicked by having it 1400m away from them. Of the squad of 120 men, there are 20 of them that are operating 3 missile launchers. They aim at the main battery (defense of 3) at a 1:2 to hit.

They roll a 5 on d6. Consulting the CRT chart, the Main Battery takes a severe battering but is not knocked out. One more half-hit and it IS knocked out.

I don't believe this unbalances the game because the odds of scoring a half-hit means that two units need to score it.

What do you think?

Should a "half hit" only disable it for one turn? Maybe multiple turns determined by the strength of the attack or via a d6 roll?
