Is there an existing article, forum discussion, etc, about using RPM but with fewer rolls required? I'm wanting to use RPM and conditional spells to emulate "that other game's" spell preparation/castinig in the form of pre-casting/releasing the spell but I don't want my wizards to have to roll up to five times to accumulate the energy to pre-cast.
One option, I know, would be to use GURPS Magic... but I don't want to do that if I don't have to. Another option would be to do Magic as Powers, which is an option I've considered in the past... but I really like RPM as a core mechanic and like using it for magic in general. Another option could be to allow wizards to have copious ER which take a long time to recover. I'm just hoping I can jump onto someone else's discussion(s) of this... if not, please discuss options here instead! :)
