Summary: Roll Spear, Staff, and Polearm into one skill and leverage Familiarity, just like Pyramid 3/65 did with Guns (Long Arm).
Familiarity is probably based mostly on overall length, but balance location is probably also a factor, as possibly damage type (head type).
It cuts down on skills that overlap so much in reality that they are basically the same.
