So I'm prepping to start running The Traveller Adventure to a group of players who have never played Traveller before, probably using GURPS (also never played GURPS before for most of them). I'm using the Mongoose version of the campaign.
The major question I have is just how important is it to have Vargr Gvoudzon be a PC as opposed to an NPC?
What are the major pros and cons of going with either method. So far I've read about half of the book.
