I don't know if this has been mentioned here or not, but here is a thought...
What if SJGames had a product that was essentially a Gift card - but instead of being a card per se, was a link DIRECTLY to a product purchased by a member with an account with SJGames?
Then, in the Library - there would be a button next to the "product" that was purchased by the person in their library.
It ONLY shows up if there are TWO or more copies of the product available. So, for instance, were I to have two copies of CAR WARS CLASSIC in my library, there would be an addition button next to one of those copies, that allows me to GIFT the second copy.
Then, upon hitting the second copy, it would ask for the person that the PDF is being gifted to. It has to be an actual existing account, or it won't work.
This way? The product can be gifted to someone who doesn't own a credit card or have the means to buying their own PDF's, but permits actual customers to be able to buy a second copy of a product, and send it to another.
Alternatively? When the order is made, there would be a radio button on the order screen that says "Gift" on it. The button is selected, and data form requesting the gift recipient's account to receive the PDF - would light up. The Gift then automatically goes directly to the gift recipient's library - so the original gifter doesn't see the file nor gets a chance to download an illegitimate copy for themselves.
Just a thought. I know a guy who is unemployed right now and doesn't own a credit card (and wouldn't use it for online purchases anyhow). At least allowing for others to buy things as a gift to be moved to a specific "library" would do the trick...
