Palladium and Pinnacle just announced that "Rifts (Savage Worlds Edition)" is about to be a thing:

The fact that Palladium is licensing out Rifts at all is pretty wild, considering how aggressively anti-"porting" they've been. That said, I think that Savage Worlds is an excellent choice -- while that RPG has its quirks, the one thing that it inarguably does well is gonzo, kitchen-sink settings (e.g., Deadlands).
