Vote up a fantastic (as in fantasy) setting Creatures and Cultures submission thread



This thread is for posting suggested creatures and cultures for the Vote up a fantastic (as in fantasy) setting project (VUAFAIFS).



a couple of guidelines:

• There are three broad categories of things we are looking for: Talking Beasts, Monsters, and Cultures.


• Monsters are dangerous creatures that cannot be reasoned with


• Talking Beasts are intelligent creatures with a decidedly inhuman form or mind.


• Cultures are a group of beings that live together. They do not neccissarliy have to be of the same species.


• Laws of magic and other guidelines will be established in the parent thread. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines are much less likely to be chosen and may be disqualified. This particularly applies to monsters.


• For talking beasts I'm going to request having point costs of 20 or less. 0 is ideal. I know that this can be difficult. Just remember we're trying to make things interesting, not powerful.


• Remember that species and cultures are different things in most cases, though general tendencies may stay around. If you build a species with a single culture don't be surprised when someone else makes a version with another culture.


• Don't worry about perfect entries! this is a random slush pile.
