I was thinking about how to handle undead and demons going into churches and other holy places. I was thinking that churches might be places of High Holy Sanctity in relation to areas of normal holy sanctity that would have no effect on undead or demons. In normal holy sanctity the undead and demons suffer no penalty but once they enter into cost crated ground like churches they begin to suffer damage until they leave it. Maybe in very high holy sanctity the damage might double. I guess high holy sanctity is rare while very high holy sanctity would be very rare.
This may be a better way to model holy water than the idea I have on another post where I assume holy water disconnects the undead from unholy sanctity. Instead the holy water might act like a high holy sanctity zone for some time until it loses its power.
In my gameworld, there is unholy sanctity even in high holy sanctity zones. unholy sanctity rarely goes to except in places that are extremely holy. Thus even in churches or temples there is evil to tempt and defile them.
