In the interest of Paring away complexity from GURPS per this thread,
http://ift.tt/17vq3a6
Im looking for a way to go from BANG! to granular in skills in a sort of Smooth continuum that will make it more accessible for first timers and allow GM's to more readily select their complexity level.
Level 1 : BANG! Skills
Level 2 : Talents - All Talents are functionally BANG! Skills and to increase the level of the Skills in the talent the talent itself must be increased. Multiple Talents are purchaseable, but individual skills are NOT. Note this will require BANG!/Talents for Combat.
Level 3 : Talents and skills - Individual skills in a talent may be bought up and talents can no longer cover Combat skills. No specialization of Skills.
Level 4 : Techniques and Specialization - In addition to the full complement of Skills and Specialization, techniques can now be fleshed out fully along the guidlines of the Basic Set.
What are the Gaps in between the levels? What do we need to do to make that transition smoother? What would a good transition for DF be? Action? MH? Are there any skills that should just be left out at a certain level?
