So, all units have unlimited ammo?

What if ammunition was a limiting factor in battles? Would this factor strengthen or weaken OGREs and conventional ground forces?

I know that powered infantry have powerful automatic weapons but how long can they use suppressing fire before they run out of 3mm cassettes?

How many 4-minute duration of fire does a Heavy Tank or GEV have? Do they have to re-arm at any moment in the battle?

Having a limitation does not have to slow down a game but instead add new important units to the game. The humble hover truck now has new life as ammunition depots for armored units and powered infantry to rearm and reload. Also, targeting these potentially explosive targets can have disastrous consequences on the friendly units around it if they decide to rearm and reload at the wrong time.

Could limited ammunition play a part in a battle? Maybe have the OGRE have "Attack points" it can use to represent ammunition supply stored internally. Maybe the amount of attack points could be all the attack strength added together and multiplied by 4 or 5. This means that for 4-5 full turns it can use all of it's weapons (except one shot weapons like missiles).

What do you think?

So, all units have unlimited ammo?
