I was thinking that maybe the Devil and demonlords would enjoy helping wizards to cast spells to create undead. The Devil and demonlords would likely enjoy additional undead in the mortal world so they might subsidize the spell making it cheaper to cast. Maybe an unholy zombie would be cheap to cast but the zombie would be completely evil and if the caster lost control of it then it would go on a killing spree. The same might be true of a wraith as well. A wizard may be able to easily return as a lich if he makes a pact with dark forces and promises to serve them. All of these evil undead would be dependant on unholy sanctity instead of mana and thus they would be weakened in areas like churches which are cleansed on unoly energy.
