Recently picked up the Car wars box set. After looking through it I have some questions.
What are the advantages of taking puncture resistant tires besides the obvious Dp increase.
After reading over the turret accessories description on page 58, it list what vehicles can have what size turrets. Pick-ups are not listed as allowing any size turret. Vans can have up to a 3-space turret. I downloaded a copy of the deluxe compendium and looked over the turret table on page 104 and it to does not show a pick-up being able to mount a turret. Even though A pick-up, camper and van share tire size, does not mean that they are the same that what goes for one goes for all. Am I right in this line of thought. Yes I know that in the vehicle design area, pick-ups are designed with turrets, hence my confusion.
When a dropped weapon is on automatic, the rules does not cover how the weapon is dropped if the vehicle is moving at a speed that causes the vehicle to move 2 or more inches in a movement phase. it does cover what happens if its not moving. It seems a little silly to have a one inch space interrupt a smoke or paint sprayer, or even a oil jet. Is it maybe just a down side of game mechanics.
After playing a arena duel with my group about 3 weeks a go i took a modified Hotshot luxury car, lets just say after that game none of my players in my group will take a vehicle that does not have fire proof armor and tires and/or a fire extinguisher of some sort. Has there been some update to the burning rules since the release of Car wars classic?
Getting back in and I have some questions.
