Family relations: Blue Bloods is inevitable. But NCIS(and New Orleans), Castle, Hawaii 50, etc, seem to be working with the family relations of the main characters.
Municipal patriotism: Blue Bloods did this for New York, but New Orleans is practically a character in NCIS: New Orleans.
Not all of these are really new but the shows seem to be playing with them more of late.
