Im about to start a new Action campaign and was going over rules so that Im ready for it.
However Im a little confused on the Simplified Rapid Fire Rules for Total Number of Targets in Action 2 pg 36.
It states for guns with RoF 2-4 hitting multiple targets there are -6 for two targets, at -6 for each additional target. Halved for Gunslinger. (Alright, no big deal. I get it. But then comes the next sentence) If the weapon has RoF 5+ theres no special penalty.
What does that mean?
Example: Gunslingers Roy and Steve are hosing down enemies. Roy shoots a pistol with RoF 3 and Steve shoots a SAW with RoF 20! Roy shoots at three different mooks. His penalties from Total Number of Targets is -6. Steve sees that this is a good idea and sprays down three other mooks.
Since Steve is firing an RoF 5+ gun he has no special penalty but what is the total penalty for Steve firing at multiple targets?
1) Is it -6, just like Roy? or
2) Is it 0? Because hes shooting loads of bullets
Im leaning more towards option 1 but I can see the argument for option 2.
