Folks:
Another GURPS session went great; however, I want to make my combat more cinematic, abstract and faster. Due to the latter, has anyone converted ‘dodge/parry/block’ rolls into percentages that are applied to the attack’s skill/attack roll?
Example:
Attack has sword skill of 13 or 83% so a roll of 13- is required to base hit
Defender has a dodge target of 8 or 25%, so a 8- roll is required to dodge
The attack has an 83% chance to hit; however, the defender has a 25% to dodge, so realistically only 75% of the attacker strikes will hit, but the attacker has an 83% chance to hit, so how can I associate that 25% of all attacks will fail to an penalty to hit on the attacker’s skill check? Do I just subtract 25% from the attackers skill?
Thanks
