Just played two games of car wars friday night with one of the other members of the board. We played at freinds hobby shop in kenosha wi. We played a three on three game. 2 boomers from vg 3 stock. One home built gas compact with a pintal mount hmg and light armor and I ran a mostly stock calmean from vg 1 with a couple of computers and abs and afabit rounds for the atg. The other car was a very modded slingshot van from vg 1 with 10 mini rockets linked on right left and back. Carried driver and gunner.
The van lead one team of a boomer, and compact. The other team played by me was the camlean, boomer and a compact.
Two groups meet out side of town to see who the better team is. Was not a death match per say, if two side armore was breached the car gave up.
The board was three highway sections and started at both ends. I open fire first on turn one to get fire bonus. I lost my boomer first to a rocket strike pointblack though the side and killed the driver.
Next turn he lost the compact to two sides breached. Then he he lost his boomer to overkill though the car from a pair of heavy rockets and a atg though the car, engine, gun, driver and into the rear armor.
I then lost my compact to a lost engine.
And surrended my lux with one point of armor left on the front and a breached side. His van was chewed up though. First game bruch won.
Next game someone else joined the game. Two raod sections bruse and lester (never played before) agist myself.
Reused the compacts from the last fight and I pulled out a very modded wallet beater mid size from vg1. Replace the flame throwers on each side with lights. Light laser front. Spike dropper back. Add gunner with sunroof and carrying a laser rifle and other things. Both sides where around div 20, just really crappy cars.
Everyone opened up first round from 15 inchs and wiffs. Close range and loss fron armor on my car and the laser. Fire a light flamer at lesters gunner in the sunroof anf then added a laser rifle from my gunner....dead pintle gunner.
Next round repeat on bruces gunner on the other side of the car. Both sides ran away after one pass.....good games though and now to find some others in our area to form a regular rpg group ro play.
