Taming Pinata

I've been reading some old posts but didn't find a clear answer on this one..
What happens when a Ranger decides to tame the Pinata?
How many cards does he have to discard and what is the Pinata steed's combat strength?
Does the rest of the players (not in combat) get any treasure?

Also: Are the treasures given by Pinata drawn face up or down?Is the main fighter the one
who picks and distributes the treasures to everyone else?
