So here's that idea again, with a plausible twist...
Offer laser cut outs of all the OGRE DE OGREs done from plywood material compatible with such operations. (Like LITKO does for example).
They offer 0.8mm, 1.5mm, 3mm thick plywood.
(OGRE DE chipboard units are 2mm thickness).
Then, have printable sheets that are adhesive backed on one side and pre-cut like a sticker sheet for example,
only these sheets are OGRE shaped stickers that you then place onto those laser cut outs of the previously mentioned OGRE DE units.
These sheets would feature different color schemed OGREs, like the Vatican Guard for example.
For example, this could allow Vatican Guard colors for all OGRE types.
As well as other colors like the cool looking white/grey from OGRE DE...but we don't have that color in all OGREs. This would allow that.
This could also allow players to create their own customized colors and themes with nose art, numbers, ect.
I would also add Structures, Reactors, and Lasers and Laser Towers to the list so we can have these in custom colors.
Out here in the wild, there are those of us who would luv to be able to have the ability to customize our OGRE forces with color themed schemes
which allow us to use sticker sheets we can apply to plywood laser cut OGRE DE OGREs to round out and or expand our forces.
We can't for lack of equipment and what it takes to do this...that's where SJGs comes in.

I'm just trying to come up with a workable and profitable way for SJGs to do this. They do have a laser cutter as evidenced by that giant OGRE cut out they once made available.
This would be the same principle, just much smaller sizes and thicknesses with printable sticker sheets for them.
