Savoir-Faire

Just out of curiosity - but would it be appropriate to specify Savoir-Faire not only by the traditional listing as given in GURPS CHARACTERS itself, but also that by "Social Status"?

For instance, someone who has grown up in the "Hoods" would have a whole different expectation of what was socially acceptable or not - how to dress, the vocabulary, methods of address as far as familiarity etc. Contrast that against someone who grew up in a white collar neighborhood in a trendy/expensive region of say, Colorado. Then you have the blue collar neighborhoods where the methods of address, clothing, etc - are equally diverse than from the hoods or from the rich people's neighborhood.

That suggests to me that Savoir-Faire could really simply be classed as being by social status than anything else. Someone who is slumming it from the upper status areas might wear better clothing, have perfectly manicured fingers, have a perfect hair style etc - where as when they go to areas that are two social levels lower - their perfectly groomed haircut would stick out as unusual and readily visible. Their vocabulary would likely show their status level because they use it naturally and unconsciously.

Just thinking...
